Mic Fabus was born on the south side of Chicago amid the smokestacks and steel mills of West Pullman. His musical career began in the nearby coffee houses and music clubs of Roseland, an area in Chicago rich in musical diversity and culture. At the age of 17 he formed the influential Chicago band FAWN. As a lead guitarist and songwriter his reputation soon attracted the attention of producers in the best studios, and then on to records, radio, television, and motion pictures.
